About State Health Agency: The State Health Agency (SHA) Jammu and Kashmir, a registered society under the Jammu and Kashmir Societies Registration Act, 1941 (AD) (Reg. No.: D18C/7188- RS/916, has been implementing Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri -Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), a centrally sponsored scheme, since 1st December, 2018 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The State Health Agency (SHA) Jammu and Kashmir is also implementing AB PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme that was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 26 th December 2020 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to provide Universal Health Coverage, free of cost, to all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.


 

VISION

Vision: The Vision of State Health Agency, Jammu and Kashmir is “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3.8: Ensuring financial protection against catastrophic health expenditure and access to affordable and quality healthcare for all. A holistic Jammu and Kashmir in which all the residents of J&K achieve their full potential for health and well being across the life span. State Health Agency, Jammu and Kashmir envisage to be a trusted Government Agency for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) i.e., Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as defined by World Health Organization (WHO).”

MISSION

Mission: The Mission of State Health Agency, Jammu and Kashmir is “Creating the best health assurance programme on an efficient and technologically robust ecosystem. To provide all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir access to needed health services of sufficient quality; and ensure that the use of these services do not expose the beneficiary to financial hardship”.
